Performances of La Calisto also mark Louise’s house debut at Teatro Real, and comes in the middle of a very exciting season. She recently made her Bayerische Staatsoper debut as Gretel in Engelbert Humperdink’s Hänsel und Gretel. Next, Louise embarks on a European tour of Handel’s Semele with the Monteverdi Choir under Sir John Eliot Gardiner, performing in London, Paris, Rome, Milan, and Barcelona. She will also perform Carmina Burana with the Philharmonia Orchestra at the Royal Festival Hall.

Andrea is a regular guest artist at the Teatro Real, most recently performing as Timur Turandot under Luisotti, and as Sir Gualtiero Raleigh in Roberto Devereux. He returns to Teatro Real later this season on tour with il pomo d’oro: under Maxim Emelyanychev the ensemble perform Agrippina in Luxembourg, Madrid, Barcelona, Paris, London and Turku with Joyce DiDonato and Samantha Hankey in the title role, Franco Fagioli as Nerone, and Andrea as Pallante. He will also appear in two further productions in the 2019/20 season. Next month sees Andrea’s Atlanta Symphony Orchestra debut in Beethoven Symphony No. 9 under Thomas Søndergard, and later he returns to the Bayerische Staatsoper and Royal Opera House for Agrippina: the former a Barrie Kosky production under Ivor Bolton; the latter under Antonio Pappano.
